How does the Healing process work?

A combination of science-based mindfulness and coaching techniques, self-directed compassion tools and deep, empathic listening are used to create a healing space and environment for you. Rich will provide a safe space for you to explore what healing and nervous system recovery looks and feels like for you, so that you can begin to reimagine and experience a healthy, thriving life.

How can I heal from trauma?

If you’ve been carrying the weight of trauma or living with anxiety, you know how deeply it can affect both your mind and your body. It can touch so many areas of your daily life - your energy, your relationships, perhaps even the way you see yourself. At times, it may feel overwhelming. But healing is fully possible for you, and you don’t have to walk this path alone.

Trauma can leave long-lasting imprints on your brain and nervous system, sometimes making it harder for you to manage your emotions or respond to stress in healthy ways. Anxiety often follows, showing up as worry, fear, or even panic. These inner struggles can also express themselves through your body—fatigue, headaches, muscle tension, or digestive issues. And beyond the physical symptoms, there can be the quieter emotional battles: feeling isolated, depressed, anxious, persistently unsafe, or perhaps even totally helpless.

If you’ve been experiencing any of this, take heart - none of it means that you’re broken. These responses are your system’s way of trying to protect you, even if it doesn’t feel that way to you.

That’s where healing coaching and working with a Master Healing Coach can support you. In our sessions together, you’ll have a safe and compassionate space to explore what you’re experiencing, and to discover practices that will help to bring you back into balance.

My role is to walk alongside you—to hold space, share tools, and guide you gently back to your own sense of wholeness. Over time, you may notice yourself feeling more grounded, more connected to who you are, and more confident in your ability to heal, self-regulate and begin to truly thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions from my clients:

  • That's a great question. Healing will mean different things to different people. Essentially it refers to the process of recovering in areas of your life where you may be feeling wounded or held back. My definition of healing is that, whatever problem or issue you were experiencing in your life, you'll no longer experience after we've worked together.
    That's how you'll know you've healed. It's important to remember that healing is a process and you can still be healing and experience improvement at the same time. If we go with the dictionary definition, healing means to make sound or healthy again.

  • A healing coach is someone who opens and holds the space for the client to heal. Generally, they work to guide the client into a process of their own self-healing, focusing on empowering them with the tools to effectively self-heal. Healing coaches often act as guides and facilitators in the client's healing process. They generally don't provide advice, although they may ask relevant questions when necessary. Healing coaches are focused on compassionately and empathically guiding their clients to heal themselves.

  • No, certainly not. The only requirement to heal is that you are a human being with a body, heart and mind. Bring your soul along and experience miracles.

  • It depends on your belief system around time. Why not be open to the possibility of the miracle that you can heal a wound for good in one session? That said, if you've been experiencing a lifetime's worth of pain, stuckness and trauma...if you can heal in the space of a few sessions, that may just be your particular miracle. Either way, the time span is most likely shorter than you think, but is generally as long as you believe it to be.

  • Would you be prepared to make a personal investment in yourself that could change the course and outcome of your entire life, or at least a meaningful part of your life? If you look at it this way, working with a healing coach is not an expense, nor should it feel that way. It should feel like and become a rewarding investment in yourself.

  • At this stage I am focused on my 1:1 coaching with clients, helping them to heal their lives. I am not currently offering group classes or healing sessions, although I may be open to it in the future.
